Google products are famous for getting leaked before they are even unveiled. The Mountain View-based company is not at all good when it comes to developing the Pixel smartphones. Having said that, the upcoming Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro details are now surfacing on the internet.
The Pixel series is known for its stellar camera performance and simplistic design language. However, folks at Google seem to have gotten over the product’s design and are now planning to redesign the upcoming devices completely. Jon Prosser, who is the owner of a YouTube channel named Front Page Tech, has revealed the two devices, which according to him, are the upcoming Pixel phones. Most of the leaks are visual in nature and are rendered by an artist from real-life images.
It seems like Google has finally decided to cut down the bezels and might feature a center-punched hole camera. According to the renders, the phone might also come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The news about the fingerprint scanner comes based on an icon found on the devices’ lock screen.
The back of the phone seems to feature a two-color tone combination. The rear camera is stretched across the width of the phone, dividing the two colors. The renders suggest that the camera will be pretty thick. But it might not be the case since these are just rendered and might be inaccurately translated to images.
The Pixel 6 Pro renders include a third rear camera. This might be why Google isn’t branding it as XL since there might be other significant changes besides the size of the phone. Sources also suggest that Google might ditch the Qualcomm processors in favor of in-house-made processors designed in partnership with Samsung. The SoC codename is Whitechapel.
