According to a report by Mashable, the latest version of iOS 15 beta has introduced a new feature that automatically removes lens flare from photos captured using the iPhone camera.
Even though the camera hardware plays a significant role in the image quality, it is the software that uses complex algorithms using Image Signal Processing.
The new feature suggests that Apple is pretty serious when it comes to iOS and is working on improving its devices’ overall performance.
It was first spotted by users on Reddit shared by an iPhone camera app called Halide on the microblogging platform Twitter.
Interestingly, Apple may have kept this feature in the dark back when iOS 15 was announced at the WWDC, or maybe they developed it afterward.
With the latest from Apple still in its beta testing phase, we can expect some new features and changes to the operating system before making it available to the general public. iOS 15 might be launched the iPhone 13 in the second half of this year.
