There appears to be a problem for everything in the Pixel 6 series. Recently, we reported that Pixel 6 users are facing charging issues with third-party chargers and cables. Earlier, the devices were seen facing issues with the fingerprint scanner [1, 2] and camera in night mode. But that’s not all. Now, several new reports from Pixel 6 and 6 Pro users reveal that Google’s latest premium flagship is also having intermittent Bluetooth connection issues.
According to the reports from Pixel 6 owners via Reddit [1, 2] and Google community forum [1, 2, 3], both the Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro devices are facing Bluetooth connectivity problems with cars. The reports say that these issues are intermittent and are occurring in several cars showing erratic behavior.
Bluetooth Connectivity of Pixel 6 With Cars Affects Calls Badly
According to multiple user reports, the Bluetooth connectivity issue in Pixel 6 connecting with some cars affects the calls. Reportedly, in some cases, when a user is on a call with his Pixel 6 phone connected to the car’s Bluetooth, the Bluetooth automatically disconnects in the middle of a call. Not just this, the users say that their phones go into a connection and disconnection loop with some cars during the call. However, in other cases, users find that the car connected to a Pixel 6 or 6 Pro shows random calls. This happens even when the phone is not making any calls.
Apart from the calls, the Pixel 6 Bluetooth connectivity also appears to have affected the music playback. Some users report that their Pixel 6 causes the stuttering sound during songs using wireless headphones. While it’s not clear if Google is aware of this issue, a Google product expert recommends users send feedback to Google to study the issue.
If you’re also affected by this bug, which most likely occurred after a recent system update, you can report the bug to Google and hope to get it fixed in a future update.
