OnePlus and OPPO has merged a couple of months ago to improve the user experience of the device UI or performance. Now, it seems that OnePlus is literally shifting towards ColorOS skin rather than improving its own HydrogenOS or OxygenOS for its latest flagship models or upcoming devices. A new teaser poster has officially released that OPPO is pushing the latest ColorOS 12 Public Beta for the OnePlus 9 series and Oppo Find X3 series on a first priority.
So, it’s now clear that the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are receiving ColorOS 12 Public Beta in China instead of getting HydrogenOS 12 Beta. Oppo Find X3 series and OnePlus 9 series Chinese variant users will have to sign up for the Public Beta platform to receive it via OTA updates.
The public beta update started arriving after the closed beta from mid-September 2021. All the interested users should have to upgrade their Oppo Find X3 series to the A.27 version and the OnePlus 9 series to version A.10-A.11 respectively to become eligible for the ColorOS 12 Public Beta. There is nothing specifically mentioned about the features or improvements of this update yet.
