Google has implemented a big overhaul and drastic changes in the design elements this year for Android OS that’s on the verge of getting announced publicly in the name of Android 12. It brings the all-new ‘Material You’ design for the user interface with dynamic themes, wallpapers, color combinations, new widgets, notification panel, quick shortcut tiles, and so on. Recently, Samsung has started pushing One UI 4.0 Beta update based on Android 12 Beta for the Galaxy S21 series in several regions. Now, Samsung has introduced Material You color themes with the One UI 4.0 Beta 2 release.
Currently, most Android device users are eagerly waiting for the official public release of Android 12 that’s about to happen this month (October 2021) most probably. Now, we all know that other smartphone OEMs do come with their own sort of stock firmware that has a different style, design elements, customizations, etc in the form of skin/UI. For example, Samsung has One UI and whenever they release updates for security patches or Android OS, they push One UI updates instead of pure vanilla Android.
So, most Samsung One UI 4.0 (Android 12) users may be left untouched by the Material You design or themes, etc. Not anymore! With the release of the Material You color themes option on One UI 4.0 version, Samsung is trying to deliver the stock-like user experience too. It basically lets users choose theme-based colors for the wallpaper. Although there are some bugs that can be found in some cases, it’s on the beta build right now and will gonna improve with every update in the near future.

Sometimes the theme color changes right after the selection and sometimes users may have to restart their devices to change effects. We’ll have to wait for some time until Google releases the Android 12 stable version publicly. Right from then, Samsung will also start accelerating its development in full force to make things much better than the beta builds of what we’re getting right now. So, fingers crossed!
