Tecno is a known smartphone brand that’s consistently trying to compete with other brands in the market when it comes to entry-level or budget-segment devices. It’s been reported that Tecno Camon 18i smartphone has been launched in Nigeria, which is probably a rebranded version of Tecno Camon 17. According to reports, the phone will come with a triple rear camera setup, an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, and a 20:9 aspect ratio display.
Apart from the 5,000 mAh battery and 48-megapixel primary rear camera, the Tecno Camon 18i is said to sport a single 128GB storage compartment. According to the blog DroidAfrica, the Camon 18i is priced at NGN 84,500 (INR 14,500) approximately in Nigeria.
The phone will sport a single 4GB of RAM + 128GB of onboard storage option, and it will be available in Deep Sea, Frost Silver, and Tranquil Green colors. The details haven’t been listed on the company’s website yet at the time of writing this article. Additionally, we do not know whether the Camon 18i is going to launch in global markets.
Tecno Camon 18i Specifications
The Tecno Camon 18i has two SIM cards (Nano) and comes with Android 11 pre-installed on HiOS 7.6. Reports of DroidAfrica state that the phone has a 6.6-inch HD+ display, a 20.5:9 aspect ratio screen, and a 90Hz refresh rate. It has an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC along with 4GB of RAM.
The handset offers a 128GB internal memory option and a MicroSD card slot that supports up to 256GB. The smartphone is said to have a triple camera setup on the back, including a 48MP primary camera, a QVGA secondary camera, and an AI camera. The front is equipped with a 16-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.0).
The Tecno Camon 18i does have 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, Micro-USB charging port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, etc. It also includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, proximity sensor, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. As mentioned, it has a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
