Poco M3 Pro 5G is the new addition to the Poco M3 series. It now offers a faster chipset, a faster refresh rate, and yes, it has 5G network support with download speeds reaching up to 2.77Gbps. The latest model has reprised its design too. Here’s everything you need to know about the new offering from Xiaomi’s Poco sub-brand.
Poco M3 Pro 5G Specs, Camera, Processor & Pricing
It sports a giant 6.5-inch 1080p+ LCD panel that can go as low as 30Hz for video playback to 90Hz whilst scrolling and gaming. It is the same display as the regular M3 display with 400 nits brightness. It sports an 8MP front selfie shooter housed in a punch-hole cut-out located right at the center.
About the powertrain, the device runs on a powerful Dimensity 700 SoC manufactured on a 7nm fabrication processor. It has a pair of newer Cortex-A76 cores clubbed with Mali G57 GPU which is way faster than the Snapdragon 662 with Cortex-A73 cores and Adreno 610 used by the regular Poco M3. The chipset offers a better performance both in terms of CPU and GPU that gives it an immense advantage over its vanilla variant.
Moving on, the device sports a triple camera setup with a vertically stacked camera bump. This includes a 48MP primary shooter along with a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. The rear camera bump has a rectangular bump on a back panel that now has a matte section underneath while the remaining major sections of the back panel are glossy.
The Poco M3 Pro 5G device is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery under the hood which is a step-down from the vanilla M3. It uses an 18W charging support while the charging brick packed with the retail box is a 22.5W brick.
Other specifications of the Poco M3 Pro 5G are a 3.5mm headphone jack, a MicroSD slot, a region-dependent NFC, an IR blaster, and so on.
Poco M3 Pro 5G arrives in two storage configurations that use a 64GB UFS 2.2 plus 4GB LPDDR4X at €180 while the higher 128GB UFS 2.2 plus 6GB LPDDR4X is available at €200. You can still buy it as a part of early bird deals with a €20 discount.
