Microsoft recently unveiled the Xbox xCloud service. The streaming service could allow users to play next-gen games on previous-gen consoles.
In a recent blog post that recapped the E3 2021 presentation, Microsoft said that they are working on a new feature that will allow users to play the latest titles on their older generation of consoles using the cloud service. The cloud gaming platform is called xCloud.
Presently, Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers are able to get access to xCloud. It has more than 100 playable titles that can be enjoyed through a web browser or on mobile. The best part? You don’t need to download any game.
In the near future, the company will bring xCloud to the Xbox One Series. The tech giant said that they might allow players to enjoy some if not all the titles available.
For the millions of people who play on Xbox One consoles today, we are looking forward to sharing more about how we will bring many of these next-gen games, such as Microsoft Flight Simulator, to your console through Xbox Cloud Gaming, just like we do with mobile devices, tablets, and browsers.
While Microsoft has said nothing about Xbox xCloud availability, chances are pretty high it will be available when the company announces Microsoft Flight Simulator for the Xbox series. The Xbox team has refused to comment on the same.
