Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, one of the hottest couples in Hollywood, have finally given a full tour of their breathtaking Beverly Hills home. The power couple invited Architectural Digest magazine into their six-acre property and opened the doors to their stunning hilltop house in Los Angeles. The couple opened up their stunning home for a full tour and delved into the design process behind what actor Kutcher describes as a “home, not an estate.”
As quoted by the magazine’s June cover story, Kucher said “We wanted the house to look like an old barn, something that had been here for decades, that was then converted into a house.” But this wasn’t easy. Because they weren’t restoring an old farmhouse, they were building one from scratch. This acted as one of the major barriers to the couple’s dream of creating an authentic barn-style home. Kunis is quoted saying, “Building a house from the ground up is no small thing.” She said, “This was either going to make us or break us.”

The property accommodates a main house that is connected to a guesthouse/entertainment barn, a stunning swimming pool, a freestanding barbecue pavilion, and views from every standpoint. While the couple “wanted the house to look like an old barn,” they also wanted it to “feel modern and relevant.” So to bring their vision to life, the Hollywood duo hired architectural firm Backen & Gillam Architects for making the property feel both homey and “modern and relevant.” According to AD, the resulting design took five years to build and comprises the main house, a swimming pool, a guest barn, and a barbecue pavilion.
As can be seen in the images, the property features beams made from reclaimed timber. It also has soaring glass-paneled sliding doors and concrete walls are designed to mimic the texture of the wood grain. Inside, there hangs a 10-foot tall crystal chandelier and a set of custom-made silver thrones. According to Architectural Digest, the property’s porch roof has hidden solar panels that produce “significantly more” energy than the household uses. Baken also said that his celebrity clients were particularly interested in sustainability. He also told the magazine that the couple was involved in even the smallest details. He said, “These are not the kind of conversations we have with every client.”
