An updated version of the original visual novel, Doki Doki Literature Club will be available on PC and consoles.
If you are a fan of Doki Doki Literature Club and have been waiting to play an updated version of the game, we have some really good news for you. Doki Doki Literature Club Plus will soon make its way to PC and popular consoles, including the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and the PS5.
The game will be released with new story content with six storylines outside of the original one. There are different pairs of the main characters, each telling how they became friends in the first place.
It will also feature an in-built music player with a total of 26 tracks, 13 of which are from the original game. Some of the soundtracks feature Jason Hayes, known for his work on the World of Warcraft soundtrack.
Apart from these changes, the game has also received a visual upgrade. It does not alter the story and the gameplay of the original version in any way. The Plus version comes with more than 100 pictures of game art, concept sketches and wallpapers, which can be unlocked along the way.
Doki Doki Literature Club Plus will also receive a limited edition physical copy. However, it will only be available for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5. It comes with a download code for the soundtracks, two-inch physical standees, a Doki Doki Literature Club membership card, a poem written by Monika, and a vinyl sticker sheet.
The Doki Doki Literature Club game will be available starting June 30 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and the Xbox One for $15. If you are interested in the physical copy, it will cost you $30.
