Pixel devices are the fastest priority when it comes to getting the latest security patch and Android OS updates by Google whatsoever. Obviously, Google’s Pixel devices are known for their earlier updates than any other brand in the market. However, Samsung did release the December 2021 patch update to its flagship devices a couple of days ago. Now, Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro getting the December 2021 patch update after being delayed initially.
It also seems that Google is pretty much consistent with releasing the latest monthly Android updates to its Pixel devices either on every first Monday in every month or Tuesday for sure. But this month Google has delayed the patch rollout and shifted to the second week.
As the title suggests, the latest December 2021 patch update includes the latest security bug fixes and other improvements. Additionally, this update brings the December Feature Drop as expected. It’s started to roll out a day ago and may take a couple of days to complete the rollout process. So, you can wait for the update to arrive on your device and keep checking the same manually via the software updates section.
