OnePlus Oscar codenamed device is tipped for Q2 launch

It seems that the journey of OnePlus is somehow gets shrunk or redirected to a new goal after the merge with OPPO. We’re saying this because after the integration of the ColorOS skin look and some features to the OxygenOS skin on OnePlus devices aren’t attracting users that much. Meanwhile, the own distinctive identity of OnePlus and its popular OxygenOS becomes faded among users. Well, keeping that aside, some reports are coming out that OnePlus Oscar codenamed device is tipped for the 2nd quarter 2022 launch.

This year, OnePlus has announced its latest flagship called ‘OnePlus 10 Pro’ a couple of months ago. However, we’re still unaware when the OnePlus 10 series models will arrive in the market in a bunch. While the OnePlus 10 Pro model is already on sale in China, fans are still waiting for further details and the pricing segments of the OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10R models.

As per leaks and reports, the upcoming flagship smartphone is codenamed “Oscar” which is expected to have the OnePlus 10 standard edition on paper. However, there is no official confirmation available yet. A known tipster Yogest Brar via 91Mobiles has mentioned the device and its codename. It’s almost set to launch in Q2 of this year which is late Spring.

There is no device specification surfaced online yet. However, we can assume that the OnePlus 10 model will also be a flagship device with stunning specifications almost similar to its big brother OnePlus 10 Pro. Maybe the fast charging, battery, and camera specifications will slightly vary depending on the price tag. Meanwhile, the chances are high that the new OnePlus device will remain using the OxygenOS skin outside in China as of now.
