Samsung’s latest smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A82 5G, has reportedly been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking site. It has appeared on the benchmarking site with model number SM-A826S suggesting an imminent launch. In January, the same phone with model number SM-A826B was leaked in a report. But now, the new variant of the handset has been spotted by MySmartPrice with some key specifications on Geekbench. Talking about the launch, Samsung will launch its Galaxy M12 smartphone in India on March 11.
As per the listing, the Galaxy A82 5G will use Android 11 OS and will come with 6GB of RAM. The processor seems to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, as the motherboard section says “msmnile,” which is the name associated with Snapdragon 855 / Plus chipset. It has scored 755 points in the single-core and 2,630 points in the multi-core tests, respectively. Further, the source code of Geekbench shows that the handset will have the Adreno 640 GPU, and the SoC will be clocked at 2.96GHz. This confirms that it will indeed be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 Plus 5G chipset.
Samsung Galaxy A82 5G Specifications (Expected)
As aforementioned, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A82 5G will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC and will run Android 11 with Samsung’s One UI on top. The chipset will be paired with 6GB of RAM. However, there could be other storage variants that the company may reveal during the launch. There’s currently very limited information on the upcoming Galaxy smartphone, so we don’t have any details about the phone’s onboard storage. Though we speculate the phone may have 128GB and 256GB variants.
That’s all we know for now about the Samsung Galaxy A82 5G, and the listing didn’t reveal much information either. Camera specs are also not known at the moment. But, as the name suggests, the upcoming phone will have 5G connectivity. And like most modern smartphones, it will have all the usual connectivity options, including GPS, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C port. The phone should also come with fast charging support.
The fact that the Galaxy A82 5G has appeared on Geekbench, it is expected that the phone will launch in near future. We expect a few more leaks in the coming days.
