The Superman & Lois finale is right around the corner and CW has just released the photos for it. The episode “Last Sons of Krypton” would be the last in season 1 and would air on Tuesday, August 17 th.
Up until now, we have seen Superman and his family move to Smallville after Clark lost his job at The Daily Prophet and the death of his mother. Clark Kent/ Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) both start their family on a new path but they face problems when one of their son Jordan (Alexander Garfin) is born with superpowers and the other, Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) is not.
And like any good Arrowverse show, this one also has a big bad villain in the form of Morgan Edge (Adam Rayner) who is actually Tal-Rho, Clark’s Kryptonian and biological half-brother. In the second last episode we saw him turn himself into the Eradicator, the evil villain who wants to destory Earth.
Now it would be interesting to see what is in store for the last episode of the season as Eradicator is hell-bent on turning Earth into a new Krypton by replacing humanity with the sentience of the lost Kryptonian people.
The synopsis and the photos both are quite elusive about Tal-Rho’s return, but seeing that this episode is the season finale we do understand the secrecy behind it. You can take a look at the synopsis below:
In the action-packed season finale, Superman’s (Tyler Hoechlin) worst nightmare comes to life, and Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) confronts Leslie Larr (guest star Stacey Farber, “Degrassi: The Next Generation”). Meanwhile, Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui), Kyle (Erik Valdez) and Sarah (Inde Navarette) agree to stay to help General Lane (Dylan Walsh). Jordan Elsass, Alex Garfin, Wole Parks and Adam Rayner also star. The episode was directed by Tom Cavanagh with story by Kristi Korzec & Michael Narducci and teleplay by Brent Fletcher & Todd Helbing. Every episode of Superman & Lois will be available to stream on The CW App and CWTV.com the day after broadcast for free and without subscription, log-in or authentication required.
What we do know for sure is that the series has been picked up for a second season, which means anything is possible in the finale. There is a possibility that it might end on a cliffhanger as well, following the lead of other Arrowverse shows.
Superman & Lois air on Tuesday nights at 9 p.m, on The CW. “Last sons of Krypton” will debut on 17 th August.
