Samsung is surely working hard these days. The South Korea-based company has released its SmartThings App for Windows 10. The app enables Samsung Smart Devices to communicate with each other, effectively taking control of all smart devices and object trackers.
Samsung has also included compatibility with the company’s Galaxy Book Pro Laptops. If you want to search for your devices, you can head over to the SmartThings FInd Page in the application and add from there.
Windows 10 users will be able to download the SmartThings app from the Microsoft Store. The app enables users to control devices and group devices, and even interconnect devices using the Scenes feature within the app. Moreover, you can pair it up with the SmartTag object tracker, which is quite similar to an NFC tag. The SmartTag tracker helps you keep track of all your belonging from the app itself.
If you are already using the SmartThings app on your phone, all existing profiles and settings will automatically make their way on the Windows version of the app. Having said that, the Windows version of the SmartThings app currently does not support the addition of new devices. Maybe it will be added in a future update since this is an initial release. The addition of SmartThings on the Windows environment will surely be a welcome addition will users being able to control the lighting and other electronic application right from their PCs.
The company also unveiled an affordable version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+, known as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ Lite. The device now has a support page on the Samsung UK, Ireland, and Russian websites.
