1Password brings Dark Mode, TouchID support, and many more feature to its web version

AgileBits, the company behind the widely used password management software 1Password, has released a new version for web browsers that offer new features.

One of the most anticipated features the new version offers is Apple TouchID integration. However, the addition of the new feature means that the web version will now be locked and needs to be unlocked if you want to access it. Moreover, the new version is compatible with Apple’s MacBook and Magic Keyboard rings.

In addition to TouchID, the extension has also added support for Windows Hello and some Linux biometric authentication methods. Keep in mind that you need to have the desktop version to use the new biometric features.

Another feature added is the dark mode, which was requested by a majority of users. This should finally allow you to browse websites you log in to using 1Password.

The save window has now let users see what all will be added to the new item while also letting users adjust new content so you can easily organize. The updated password generator suggests a super-strong password that tries to fit the requirements of the website. You can find all the changes in the new version of the 1Password here.

All these features are already available on Safari since the Safari version of the extension is different from the rest. Make sure you have updated your extensions!
