Major U.S. Telecom Carrier Verizon is now seeding out Android 11 updates on both Motorola One 5G UW and Moto G Stylus via the airborne method. The incoming update brings a lot to the table including an updating security patch on both of the devices.
Verizon Seeding out Android 11 Updates
According to the Motorola One 5G UW software updates page on Verizon, the device is now getting upgraded to Android 11 via OTA update. The incoming update carries version number RPN31.Q1-51-30-1 dated April 23rd and it is arriving with March 2021 security patch on it. Note that the update is termed as “System Update 4”.
On the other hand, the Motorola Moto G Stylus is getting its share of Android 11 updates on units locked with Verizon too. The incoming update carries version number RPR31.Q1-56-9 and has a February 2021 security patch on-board. Just as is the case with One 5G UW, the Moto G Stylus latest update is termed as “System Update 7”.
Both the devices are getting almost the same features. Both are getting their massive upgrade to Android 11 and with that, all the features including Chat Bubbles, Conversations, refreshed media controls and more have been added to it.
Android 11 also brings a streamlined device and media controls on-board that lets you control all the connected devices with ease. The stringent one-time permissions on Android 11 ensures that apps that seek out access to mic, camera, or location unless consented by the user himself/herself.
There’s no rocket science on how to find these updates. Most of the users will get an OTA notification where they can click on it, download it, install the update, and bingo.
For others who may or may not have received the OTA notification and want to find the update manually, go through Settings >> About Phone >> System Updates. The next screen should show an update notification that you can click at, download, and install right away. If there’s no update, you will have to wait for some time to get the notification. Ensure that the battery is more than 50 percent so that it doesn’t dry up during the installation process.
