Fantasy Narrative Game Grotto Unveiled for PC and Consoles

Developed by the game studio Brainwash Gang, Grotto is a mystical fantasy narrative-based game that will primarily focus on the choices the player makes.

Brainwash Gang, the game studio responsible for the development is based out of Madrid, Spain. The studio is also coming up with games such as Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition as well the life simulation game The Longest Road on Earth.

Coming back to Grotto, the game will be available on PC as well as all major consoles when it is launched. Players assume the role of the Soothsayer, a mysterious hermit who lives in the titular cave and is called by a primitive tribe to read the stars as well as provide counsel.

“Some of us have a genuine interest in divination and have tried different techniques over the years. We like the idea of people’s lives being influenced by something as abstract as the interpretation of the stars. With Grotto, we hope players will become aware that the extraordinary powers of the protagonist come from their own empathy when deciding on the life of the tribe.”

Edu Verzinsky, developer and founder of Brainwash Gang studios

The indie game focuses on Soothsayer, who is able to talk to the stars and is able to translate their messages. The player’s decisions will decide the fate of the tribe. Everything you do will have consequences. The announcement trailer does not reveal any gameplay footage, so it is quite hard to know what the game is about or how it will look. Grotto might feature a mixture of 2D and 3D art styles. You can watch the announcement trailer below.

Apart from the trailer, interested players can add the game to their Wishlist on Steam by clicking the link here. Grotto will be available on multiple platforms, including PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and even iOS. Brainwash Gang hasn’t revealed the release date of the game, but we expect it to come out sometime this year.
