The wait for the upcoming Pixel 6 series is finally about to end when the much-awaited smartphone series from Google will launch tomorrow, i.e.. October 19, 2021. But ahead of the launch, the US prices of both the smartphones in the series have been outed in the last-minute leaks. The leak comes from a famous YouTuber M. Brandon Lee through a tweet, revealing Target’s pre-listed pricing in the US.
According to Lee, the base Google Pixel 6 is listed at $599 — a big surprise from Pixel fans because the pricing was expected to be more than $750 (as in Europe). On the other hand, the Pixel 6 Pro is around $300 expensive and is listed at $898. This pricing is quite surprising because before teasing the Pixel 6 series, Google had cautioned that the Pro model would be “expensive.” But the pre-listed pricing of the upcoming Pixel devices suggests that these could be among the most affordable flagships of this year.
How Accurate is Google Pixel 6, 6 Pro US Pricing?
Since this leaked pricing appears to be quite cheaper than expected, there remains a doubt on its accuracy. It’s also unclear if Target’s figures are merely placeholders. But if we compare these prices to the rumored pricing of Pixel 6 in Europe and the UK, these are definitely more attractive. In Europe, the base Pixel 6 model was spotted at €649 (approx. $758), and the Pro model would start at €899 (approx. $1050). So in the US, the prices do sound reasonable.
Anyways, we don’t have long to wait for the actual details about pricing as the launch is just a few hours away. The Mountain View-based giant will launch its next flagship smartphone series on Tuesday, October 19. Stay tuned for the coming launch with us!
