Samsung has announced that it is expanding its budget and mid-range portfolio in the United States. The company has launched its five Galaxy A series smartphones in the US, including the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G, Galaxy A42 5G, Galaxy A32 5G, Galaxy A12, and the Galaxy A02s.
Note that all of these phones have either already launched in some markets or were previously announced, but they were never put on sale. However, they’ll now soon go on sale in the USA and will be offered in budget and mid-range segments. To those unaware, Samsung had announced the Galaxy A42 5G over six months ago, and it is already available in Europe. Samsung Galaxy A52 5G: Specifications, Price
Samsung launched the Galaxy A52 smartphone alongside the Galaxy A72 last month in both 4G and 5G variants. However, only the Galaxy A52 5G is coming to the US and is having the highest price tag among all the five devices. It sports a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset includes the Snapdragon 750G SoC and runs Android 11-based One UI 3.1 under the hood. For optics, the Galaxy A52 5G features a 64MP primary sensor, 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro shooter.
Further, the phone comes in two storage configurations of 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage. To keep the lights on, the phone packs a 4,500mAh battery. The Galaxy A52 5G will go on sale in the US from April 9 at a starting price of $500.
Samsung Galaxy A42 5G: Specs, Price
The Galaxy A42 5G sports a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and runs Android 11-based One UI 3.1 OS. This handset is also powered by the Snapdragon 750G SoC and comes in 5GB RAM + 128GB storage option. The phone packs a larger 5,000mAh battery and features a quad rear camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor.
Further, the handset is available in three color options — Prism Dot Black, Prism Dot Gray, and Prism Dot White. It will go on sale in the US from April 8 (today) for $400.
Galaxy A32 5G: Specifications, Price
The Galaxy A32 5G is the cheapest 5G phone from Samsung that sports a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It also packs a long life battery of 5,000mAh but features a triple rear camera system with a 48MP primary sensor. There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric unlocking.
Further, the Galaxy A32 5G is available in four colors — Black, Blue, White, and Violet — and will go on sale in the US starting April 9 for $280.
Samsung Galaxy A12: Specs, Price
The Galaxy A12 features a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD and is a budget-friendly offering from Samsung. The device is powered by the MediaTek P35 octa-core SoC paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. For optics, the phone sports a quad rear camera setup with a 16MP primary sensor. The Galaxy A12 handset also packs a 5,000mAh battery and comes with an inbuilt side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C port.
Further, it runs Android 10 with One UI on top and will go on sale in the US from April 9 for $180.
Galaxy A02s: Specifications, Price
Finally, the Galaxy A02s is also coming to the US as an entry-level smartphone from Samsung. This phone was announced back in November and features a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD panel with a waterdrop-style notch. The A02s is powered by the Snapdragon 450 SoC paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. It runs Android 10 and sports a triple rear camera setup with a 13MP primary sensor.
Further, the Galaxy A02s packs a 5,000mAh battery with a USB Type-C port for charging. The phone will go on sale in the US starting April 29 for $110.
