After waiting for several years, Dwayne Johnson will finally be making an appearance in the DC Universe. The actor recently announced that they are done with the filming of the Black Adam.
The relationship between Johnson and DC bonded back in September of 2014, when DC signed Johnson for the role of Black Adam, the adversary to Shazam.
Later on, DC decided to give Black Adam his own movie instead of making an appearance in Shazam in 2017. So yeah, technically, the movie is in the making for several years now.
Dwayne also shared a video where he could be seen giving an emotional speech to the cast, the crew, and everyone else who was part of the team. It was shot on the last day of the set. He said,
Years and years now that we’ve worked closely together. Black Adam – it’s a career definer for me. I can’t thank you enough. Truly from deep in my bones. For the commitment and sacrifice, the time away from your family to make something special for the world to enjoy.
It seems that only a handful of people actually know what the movie actually looks like. Till now, we only had a handful of teasers along the way. It will be really fascinating to see Dwayne in the movie, rather than drool on the concept images.
The cast includes likes of Sarah Shahi (Adrianna Tomaz/Isis), Dwayne Johnson (Black Adam), Pierce Brosnan (Doctor Fate), Quintessa Swindell (Cyclone), Aldis Hodge (Hawkman), Noah Centineo (Atom Smasher), with Mo Amer, Marwan Kenzari, Bodhi Sabongui, James Cusati-Moyer, and Uli Latukefu in undisclosed roles.
