Puzzle Bobble VR: Vacation Odyssey will be available on Oculus Quest in May

Puzzle Bobble is one of the oldest puzzle games available right now. The game is available across almost all platforms, except a few. For the last 35 years, the game has been keeping users addicted to its puzzling adventures.

After the games initial reveal of the VR edition last year, nothing was known about the upcoming version, until now. Taito and Survios have now announced that Puzzle Bobble VR: Vacation Odyssey will soon make its way on the Oculus Quest in May this year.

Gamers are able to see the gameplay in action for the first time since its announcement in 2020. The VR edition, named Puzzle Bobble VR: Vacation Odyssey takes on the concept of the original game and immerses the player in the world of Virtual Reality. Instead of having a gun to aim and shoot at targets, players are presented with a high tech catapult which they can use to sling colorful balls into the existing floating collection of bubbles.

The game is said to have 100 levels of bubble popping adventures, with the aim set to score 3 stars on all of the levels. Completing each level will earn you coins which you can spend in the in-game shop. Coins can help you get unique power-ups that have special VR interactions.

The game offers three gameplay modes that keep the gameplay afresh in case you feel sore. The Story mode offers 100 levels of challenging gameplay in which you have to achieve three-star mastery in each level.

The Infinite Mode lets users shoot an infinite number of bubbles that don’t end. It is aimed at players who want to achieve a record high score.

Lastly, the Online Duel Mode is for players who want to play with other real players. It lets users challenge other people online and even send jammer bubbles, offering a fun and enjoyable 1v1 experience.

Oculus Quest is also getting a number of other titles such as Jurassic World Aftermath, Myst, Zombieland: Headshot and the newly revealed Resident Evil 4.

Puzzle Bobble VR: Vacation Odyssey will be launched on May 20, 2021 and is developed by Survios and Taito. Meanwhile, you can take a look at the trailer below.
