It seems that the previous year Samsung did release the Expert RAW camera app for its flagship model such as Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. The app allows users to have access to the phone’s camera options to enhance the captured images and videos however they want. The app has received a January update to fix multiple bugs and stability issues. Additionally, it has received the High-Efficiency RAW support that offers improved low-light image performance even better than before.
If we take a quick look at the v1.0.01 changelog, it mentions the photo sharpness and much clarity in decent low-light situations. Well, SamMobile has also mentioned it recently which isn’t a big update in terms of the features or improvements but definitely worth noting for the Expert RAW app users.
It’s quite unfortunate that only the Galaxy S21 Ultra and the Galaxy S22 series models are compatible with the Expert RAW camera app currently. However, the chances are high that the Galaxy Z Fold3, Galaxy Z Fold2, Galaxy Note20 Ultra, and Galaxy S20 Ultra models might also receive the same update in the upcoming months expectedly. So, we’ll have to wait for that.
To recall, the Expert RAW camera app is quite powerful software that offers multiple advanced photos or video shooting features that you might not get in the standard camera app. It also uses the HDR feature of your phone to post-process images efficiently and save a regular JPEG copy file apart from the multi-frame RAW file. Expert RAW app users will also be able to use Adobe Lightroom for image editing like a pro right from their mobile due to deep integration.
