Google recently shared a short 14-second video on Instagram from its official account. Perhaps what’s interesting is that it shows a glimpse of an unreleased Pixel 4a color variant that zips by in less than a second.
Google Pixel 4a appears in White Color
Google posted a short video on its Made by Google account on Instagram to celebrate International Dance Day. The clip shows Google Nest Audio in brief and there it is, lying on the desk is a white-colored Google Pixel 4a. This got our tech senses tingling as the Pixel 4a has released in Just Black and a Barely Blue limited edition. There’s a Clearly White Pixel 4a 5G too but this one is different. Apparently, the orange accented power button is what sets it apart from the rest.
Of course, using an orange power button isn’t something new for Pixel devices as we have already seen it with Pixel 3a but that’s a different phone altogether. The squaricle camera setup as it can be seen in the video is a dead giveaway that it is indeed 4a.
Pixel 4a was launched a bit later in 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This is the reason why the search engine giant released it in a single Just Black color variant followed by adding a limited Barely Blue edition. Perhaps, the White color variant as seen in the Instagram story is just a prototype.
Now there are many assumptions related to this unreleased color variant. First up, even though Pixel 4a is the stable of Pixel devices and it is one of the most popular ones, there’s already a Clearly White variant available on its 5G model. Adding another white color variant would not be logical.
Another assumption is that we could see the White-colored Google Pixel 4a during the Pixel 5a launch at the Google I/O event in 2021 slated to be held on May 18. With that, we will get to see a Google Pixel Watch at the upcoming event as well. The Google I/O Event 2021 will see a string of new products launch too and it is barely three weeks away from today.
