Apple recently concluded the Spring Loaded Event, which was also the tech giant’s first event of the year. There were a lot of announcements the company made, ranging from the new iPad Pro to the new Apple Mac. However, Apple unveiled the Purple iPhone 12 during the event, which remained the center of attraction for many fanboys.
The Purple iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Mini offer a refreshing color to the existing multiple color options the phones are available in. All technical specifications of the smartphones remain the same. The iPhone 12 has a great camera, a nice screen, and comes with 5G.
Apple also showcased some new cases for the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Mini. And yes, the new cases do come in Purple. The new MagSafe wallet was also unveiled during the course of the event.
AirTags are here!
The company also unveiled the hyped AirTags. They are small pocket-sized trackers that come with several features such as Bluetooth LE, replaceable battery, and even inbuilt speakers. You can track them using the “Find My” that’s available on iOS. In case you are wondering how much they cost, a pack of 4 is priced at $100 whereas a single AirTag will cost you $30.
According to Apple, the battery on the AirTags will last somewhere around a year before it needs to be replaced. The concept of the AirTags was unearthed way back in 2019 when Apple mentioned it in the iOS 13 beta.
The name was leaked when the company accidentally uploaded a video last year which it promptly deleted. An important thing to take note of is that the tag themselves do not have any attachments and therefore cannot be attached unless you buy accessories.

This time, Apple is synchronizing the release of the Purple iPhone globally, along with the much-awaited AirTags. The launch time is set at 12 noon UTC time for all regions, whether it be UK, Europe, Oceania, or the US and Canada.
The Purple iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, and AirTags are available for pre-order on the Apple website right now. Apple expects the AirTags to start delivering sometime between May 3 and May 5. All devices will be available from April 30.
